Harry Potter?
Where are we now - is it time to read all the Harry Potter books again? I think I might start them anyways, since I want to read them all before July 21!

I did that last month, but I think I'm going to have to do it again before July, just so I have the whole cohesiveness of the series in mind when I read book 7. Counting down to July ... (when I'll really need the distraction because it will be scorching hot and I'll be uncomfortably large with child!)
It's hard to judge when to start re-reading - I could pace myself at one a week, and it would still be a little early to start. But if I put it off too long, then will I feel like I'm forcing myself to read them too quickly?
We could have a competition to guess who dies ... the winner gets to host a ladies' night? I'm leaning towards Snape and Ron. Snape - because it seems a fitting sacrifice and because he could die to allow Harry whatever chance he needs; and Ron - because I think the death of his best friend would be the strongest spur to Harry to finish whatever it is he has to do.
I have a feeling I'll be laughing at my guesses later, after I find out what really happens. :)
I started--now halfway through book one.
I have tried several times to reread HP books, but I end up losing interest and stopping midway through. Although I did make it through books 1-4 in Russian after I had read them in English. The translations were pretty good, although I had to laugh at times (like when they translated SPEW into an acronym that was one vowel removed from a nasty swear word for excrement... =)
Anyway, have fun reading, everyone!
